what to expect
The Step-By-Step Process for Your Family Portraits
Initial consultation: Most families I work with start a conversation via email. Then, we'll schedule a phone call to get to know each other more. I want to hear all about your family so we can dream up the perfect family photos.
Official details: Once you’ve chosen your family portrait package, I’ll send you a breakdown of the services I’ll provide, our contract and payment options. A 30% retainer and a signed contract will make it official!
Planning process: I'll help you choose a suitable location, and we’ll coordinate schedules. I’ll also send you a what-to-wear guide to help you create a look you love and feel confident in for your photos!
Check in: Six to eight weeks before your photos, I’ll check in to see how you’re doing, answer any questions, and adjust any last-minute details if needed. I’ll also craft your custom timeline for your Connecticut family or newborn photography session.
Picture day: The day is finally here! I’ll help you relax in front of the camera and authentically showcase your family. I’ll act silly, offer gentle guidance and whatever else I need to do to help you have the best experience.
Your final gallery: Now it’s time for me to go into editing mode. Your full gallery will be ready in six to eight weeks for you to download images, and your loved ones can even purchase prints directly from your easy-to-use gallery dashboard.

I have over 15 years of photography experience and have helped hundreds of families and couples photograph their special moments. I’ve also created an efficient system to capture the best light and work with young children to get the best photos quickly for a stress-free experience!
