FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Where do you shoot your portrait sessions? All sessions are conducted at the outdoor location of your choice, anywhere in Connecticut. This may be at your home (provided that your yard offers adequate open shade), or an outdoor location such as a favorite park or the beach.Upon request we can also shoot “studio” sessions with studio lighting and backdrops.
SchedulingFamily sessions are done outdoors from April through October ,and late November and winter dates are available upon request. For optimal lighting, outdoor sessions are done in the evening, about an hour and a half before sunset.
Do you edit/Photoshop the photos? We edit all the photos we give you for white balance, color, contract, and sharpness. We then choose our favorites to do more custom retouching and artistic edits.

FAMILY SESSIONS
Family sessions don’t have to be stressful, lets do something everyone can enjoy! I stay away from awkward staging and cheesing at the camera.Our time together will be laid back and relaxed. I will guide you and prompt you to interact candidly and naturally so that your images reflect your family just as you are.
I understand the work that goes into family photos: planning outfits, coordinating schedules… and I’m here to take the pressure off. We can shoot in the comfort of your home or at any one of the beautiful locations in the greater New Haven or Hartford area.

I will talk to you long before your portrait session to help you decide on a session location, guide your wardrobe decisions and of course, offer posing direction at the shoot to help you feel your best. Portraits are available for families, maternity, anniversary sessions & of course pet sessions too!

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK?

For optimal lighting, outdoor sessions are done in the evening, about an hour and a half before sunset.My sessions are booked 4 – 12 weeks in advance, and I recommend you get in touch as soon as possible to get a date on the calendar!
WHAT IF IT RAINS ON OUR DATE?
Sessions can be rescheduled with 24 hours notice if the forecast calls for heavy rain. If the rain is light we can always come up with an alternate idea, and still have a great time!
