Hello! My name is Rob Skinner and I’m a wedding photographer in New Haven, CT. If you’re engaged and planning your wedding, you can get in touch with me by using my website contact form – happy wedding planning.https://robskinnerphotography.com/

Saturdays are the most popular day ever to get married. Brides need to make quick wedding choices to nail down the venue and vendors that they really want. After all, there are only a certain number of Saturday’s available each year!

Let’s look at 3 reasons why a Friday wedding may be a good option to consider.
1. Many venues offer a discount on pricing for an on Saturday wedding.
Maybe you’ve always wanted to have a wedding at a dream location.  Now, when the time comes to actually book the venue, that second Saturday in June opening is no longer available! Saturday’s tend to fill up very quickly for wedding venues. Having a wedding on Friday increases your chances of scoring your perfect venue, and also you may get a discount!
2. You’ll have more time to spend with your guests.
Having your wedding take place on a Friday you can extend the postnuptial fun by having Bridal brunches. It will help you enjoy the day of your actual wedding a little more because you won’t feel rushed. You can relax a bit knowing you’ll still have plenty of time to hang out with guests before you leave on your honeymoon on Sunday.
3. A wider range of vendors will be available to you.
Since wedding venues book quickly for Saturdays, your favorite vendors will disappear as well! Although you may not be able to have everything perfect on your wedding day you should strive to get as much as you can the way you want it. Having a Friday wedding means you’ll have a greater chance of booking the best vendors. There will be a higher number of photographers, Caterers, Etc available to you if you’re open to a non-Saturday date. Also you’ll get to choose from the highest quality vendors not just who’s left.
I am glad to have been able to share these perks of having a Friday wedding with you all. If you’re a bride or soon-to-be bride planning her wedding I highly recommend considering a Friday evening for your wedding!
